The Early Years ​

October 1994

Andromeda Technology Solutions Founded by Jeff Borello, Bill Utz and Pat McDonald

November 2003

Move from home offices to first physical office space in the Lockport train station

March 2005

Purchased first Company Van (2001 Chevy Express – yeah, it was cool)

Expanding to new technologies and services​

January 2009

Acquired Tri-Com and began offering telecom system install & support to Chicagoland businesses

September 2009

Expanded into professional office park in Lockport, IL. Andromeda operates out of suite 600 with other businesses in neighboring suites

October 2012

Acquired Patriot Alarms and proper licenses to begin offering physical security solutions to Chicagoland business

July 2015

Acquired iGenMedia Web Design Company. Added website design, digital marketing and consulting services

Growing in size and capability​

2016 to 2018

Staff grows from 31 to 47. Corporate headquarters expands to additional office space

March 2018

Service teams are restructured into designated groups for managed services and professional services. These groups are further organized into geo-specific teams to improve service times and quality

March 2019

Andromeda begins offering security hardware, programming and install support across the United States

Adapting & Responding to Challenges​

March 2020

Transitioned 100% staff from office to remote work including deployment of new phone system in one weekend

April 2020

Prepared a previously vacant hospital’s network infrastructure to accept patients due to emergency CoVID-19 demands. Consulted, engineered and installed the project in one week

October 2020

Began offering Co-Managed IT Services to IT managers and teams in need of support and supplemental resources

December 2020

First 100% remote positions created at Andromeda with three forever-remote teammates hired
